Eddie “Cleanhead” VINSON, Roy BROWN & Wynonie HARRIS - Battle of the Blues (Vol.4) 1959

Eddie “Cleanhead” VINSON, Roy BROWN & Wynonie HARRIS - Battle of the Blues (Vol.4) 1959
(King LP 668)

Blues

Eddie "Cleanhead" Vinson joins the Battle of the Blues party this time around with some honking tenor saxophone and his own brand of blues shouting. And while Vinson is given a good share of vocals here, his King label compatriots Roy Brown and Wynonie Harris make good on their earlier showcases with another dose of high-end jump blues vocals as well. No real jousting here, just 12 solid R&B scorchers and slow-burners.
