Boby MACK And Night Train - Red Hot And Humid 1991

Boby MACK And Night Train - Red Hot And Humid 1991

Blues

Bobby Mack has been named Texas Music Ambassador to the World and delivers on that reputation with the very best Texas Blues has to offer. The band's roots are in the blues but their live shows and CD's include hot rockin' roadhouse music with high energy funk and soul. Bobby records and produces projects for Palindrome Records in San Antonio, Texas and is also signed to Provogue Music for the European territories. Bobby Mack is also a producer of other artists including The Mississippi Legend, Willie Foster, and Lynne Campbell.

..and it's another 5 stars for the Texas Music Ambassador to the World. I tend to enjoy live albums more so than studio albums, and this one is certainly one of my favorite live albums to date. Mack's guitar is top notch, very, very soulful, and Richard Klein does a fantastic job on keys! If you aren't even a fan of guitar, you gotta get this just for the organ! I will say that I am a big fan of blues guitar, my personal favorites being cats like SRV, Johnny Winter, Joe Bonamassa, Walter Trout, etc. etc. If you just dig Texas blues and soul, get this album. There are so many stand out tracks, my favorites being Black Jack, Phillip West, Aint Nobody's Business, and Take It Home (But they're all really great tracks). Add this one to your blues collection... it's really quite amazing that this guy hasn't hit it big.
