Mojo Blues Band - Southern Blues Cruise 1999

Mojo Blues Band - Southern Blues Cruise 1999
Label: Ripete

Blues

The Mojo Blues Band is a “purist” blues act from Vienna, Austria, that not only enjoys a significant world wide following, but has also impacted the Carolina Beach & Shag scene in a major fashion. The group features authentic blues guitar chops, stand up acoustic bass and a rollicking barrel-house piano attack that creates an infectious blend of ear candy. Mojo has performed and recorded with many of the legendary blues acts of the ‘50’s and ‘60’s, including, on this package, guest shots from icons like Jimmy McCracklin, Nappy Brown & Bill Pinkney. The album contains all 13 tracks from the original “Southern Blues Cruise” CD, recorded by Ripete Records, in 1999 on the Band’s first US tour plus 4 additional bonus dance tracks recorded at the same sessions, but not included on the original disc.
