Michael JOHN & The Bottom Line - From the roots 2004

Michael JOHN & The Bottom Line - From the roots 2004
Label: Michael John & The Bottom Line

Blues

Michael John & The Bottom Line are back with their third release "From The Roots" Perfect title for this CD and to describe the band. This CD is original and they bring a much needed breath of fresh air into the blues scene. This six piece band ...    Full Descriptionis very tight and has a ton of energy. When you have a grooving machine for a rhythm section with Chuck Lee on Bass Guitar and Tom "T-Bone Broderick on Drums you can't help but to stomp your feet or get up and dance. Jeff Dellisanti is not only on Tenor Sax but also throwing it down on Baritone too. He also throws down a nice little surprise on track thirteen Skinny Dipping. Kirk Nelson on piano gives you the strong boogie woogie feel while also adding the Hammond B3 Organ to just fatten the whole thing up. Howard "Preacher" Ward has become one of the most well known and respected Guitar players in Southern California. When you have a band like this and add the vocals of one very soulful singer, Southern California's own Michael John, you can't go wrong. There is also a special appearance by the lovely Sweet Inspirations who sing back up to Michael John's song "Can't Let Go". They have performed live with Elvis Presley for over ten years. Also, Marty Grebb who plays the Hammond B3 organ on tracks 1,7 and 12.He's known for his B3 playing and sax from artist such as Bonnie Raitt along with many others. This CD is a real treat from start to finish. Michael John and his band, The Bottom Line have been performing at many venues and festivals and have shared the stage with countless legends of the Blues.
