Relying solely on original material this time around, Interstate Blues' third release entitled Velvet combines a variety of musical styles to create their unique brand of the Blues.

From the Funky "Feel This Way" to the sublime sounds of "Bossa Nova Blues", this album draws from a wide range of influences and shows just how versatile the blues can be.

Guitarist Jamie Purpora is a member of the Willie Dixon foundation Blues Heaven along with honorary members such as Eric Clapton, Robert Cray and John Lee Hooker, and performs regularly at the annual Chicago Blues Festival. Interstate Blues has received accolades from the likes of Buddy Guy and Doyle Bramhall, and continually receives nominations as LA's Best Blues Band by trade magazines.
