Big GILSON - Cab Driver Blues 2000

Big GILSON - Cab Driver Blues 2000
Label:Topcat
Recorded at: Summet Studios, Dallas, Texas

Blues

This one is from Brazil. Big Gilson is from Rio De Janiero and has been playing guitar for 3 decades. He's toured in Europe, US and all over South America to sell out crowds. He's played with BB King, Magic Slim and Wolfman Washington. He has an open invitation to play at Buddy Guy's Legends night club any time he wants.

He's an exciting performer. He's plays various guitars from Telecaster, Les Paul to custom made. Often he uses a long cord and wanders into the crowd during solos. He'll pick whatever pretty girl that catches his eye and jam right in front of her.

This CD is one of the few studio recordings that are marketed in the US. He has several live CDs available which are awesome. Usually studio cuts make me yawn, but somehow Big Gilson has managed to capture the excitement of blues in the studio. How? I don't know.
